This policy explains how Caishen Labs handles personal data when you use our sites. In short: the only personal data we ask for is your email, if you choose to join a waitlist — and we measure interest without cookies and without tracking you across the web.
Who we are
Caishen Labs (“we”, “us”) operates caishenlabs.com and a set of early-stage product-validation pages on *.caishenlabs.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@caishenlabs.com.
What we collect
- Your email address — only when you choose to join a waitlist or ask us to send you something. That is the only personal data we request.
- Anonymous usage analytics — page views, scroll depth, clicks, time on page, and the referring website or campaign source. This is measured first-party and without cookies. It is not linked to you, and we do not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites.
We do not collect names, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or any special-category (sensitive) data.
Cookies
We don’t use cookies or similar tracking technologies, so there’s no cookie banner — there is nothing on that front to consent to.
Why we use it, and our legal basis (UK GDPR)
- Your email — to contact you about the specific product or waitlist you signed up for. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Anonymous analytics — to understand whether an idea is wanted before we build it. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in validating demand, balanced against your privacy (the data isn’t linked to you).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of processors to run the service — currently our hosting and first-party analytics provider (Cloudflare) and our email provider (to store waitlist emails and send the update you asked for). They act only on our instructions. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses) apply.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until the product launches or is discontinued, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. Anonymous analytics is retained for a limited period (around three months) and then expires automatically.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@caishenlabs.com and we’ll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
Our sites are not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here.
